This three-story, 235,000 SF state of the art office building was designed to accommodate 700 current employees, and meet the space needs of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union administration for the next 50 years. It is situated on a 32 acre greenfield site.
The structure was designed for LEED gold certification. It is entirely steel framed, and incorporates bracing and moment frames within the lateral load-resisting system. A multi-purpose room and cafeteria/food court is located on the first floor. The third floor has a large strip in the middle of the building that opens to the commons area below. Roof gardens are incorporated over a portion of the lower roof level. A gabled roof covers a central atrium, and remaining adjacent portions have a flat roof.
This building and site can accommodate future expansion up to 400,000 SF. This expansion has been anticipated and planned for at each end of the building and in the middle of the structure.
The project also includes a separate 1,9000 SF maintenance building.
